We are a small, family-owned operation with the goal of sharing our unique family recipe of 100% plant-based seaweed chicharrones (or pork-less rinds).
Our chicharrones were created back in the late ’70s when our uncle pioneered seaweed harvesting in Baja, Mexico.
At the time, there was a lack of vegan and wholesome snacks with simple ingredients. Being a studied marine biologist and knowing the fantastic properties of sea vegetables, he knew he had to come up with something different. After several attempts, the seaweed chicharron was born.
Our seaweed is harvested sustainably in the clean waters of northern Baja California, Mexico. The same goes for our sea salt.
We believe that helping others is crucial to living a full life. We are here, thanks to our hardworking seaweed harvesters. When you buy our products, you support them indirectly because it is through their work where they can provide a decent life to their families.
